Babies are small and sweet. (but some have attitude)
With lots of kissable baby parts. (still cute, even with attitude)
Full of tiny details
that don't last for very long. (I remember when my kids were this small....)
And they smell of that unique newborn baby smell....mmmmmm.
Yes, there are very few things as wonderful as a new baby.
Congratulations, Angie.

Special Bond {Photos of the Heart-Harker Heights Child Photographer}
Some kids just make you happy to see them. These two are so sweet together. I see how close the bond is between the two of them and it makes me smile because that's what I love to see in my own children. I love how E. looks after her brother and loves him so much. You can see it in how she plays with him and how she helps pick him up after he falls down.
Families are special and this is a very special family!

It's the Christmas Season! {Photos of the Heart-Baby Photographer}
This little girl was actually a present to me....so sweet! Thanks J. for letting me play with her! This just makes me happy.
I just love looking at this picture. But since my wonderful husband insists that Christmas doesn't start until AFTER Thanksgiving, I decided to wait to post this picture!
I usually smooth baby skin so it's perfect, but I loved her little forehead wrinkle and I decided to go for a more natural look. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait till next week when I get to play with another special arrival! Hurry up Aaron! I am so excited to meet you!

Happy Birthday! {Photos of the Heart-Child Photographer, Harker Heights TX}
Snips and Snails and Puppy Dog tails....that's what little boys are made of!
This sweetheart was so much fun! He had just learned to walk, so of course, he spent a lot of time showing off his new talent! He had a very spunky personality and was a ball of energy! I love this age...Everything is exciting and fun for one year olds!
And not only was this little guy adorable, but he has a georgeous Mommy! I'm sure that Daddy will love seeing the fantastic pictures of his wonderful family!

Super sneek peek {Photos of the Heart-Child Photographer}
I am very behind on posting sneek peaks, so I decided that today, I will post the first picture that I liked from Princess A's session.
I saw this picture (2nd one taken at the shoot) and I thought that she she cute, so I quickly uploaded it, thinking that her dad would like to see his girls looking so sweet.
I then flipped back to the rest of her session and realized that I made a HUGE mistake.
This picture isn't cute. It didn't even make the final cut of the top 40 pictures. This is NOTHING.
But now I am addicted and have to finish going through ALL her pictures and get them ready to show mom....so the sneek peek post will have to wait!

Just a few weeks and a bit of rain.....
A few weeks ago, I took the kids to the mermaid pond in Salado to take some pictures. We ended up taking pictures of the mermaid-not-pond...there was no water to be found....just a hint of nearly dry scum. Yuck.

Photos of the Heart-Senior Photographer
Sometimes you meet someone who is so full of life that you find yourself smiling when you are near them. Alex is one of those people! Our shoot in Salado was so much fun!
And here is the proof that it's not just happenstance that she is so happy....like mother, like daughter!
I'm looking forward to showing them all of the amazing pictures!

Photos of the Heart-Family Photographer at BLORA
Diana scheduled a family session following her husband's return from Iraq, but I have to admit, that even though I know these are her kids, I have a hard time believing it.
She just doesn't look (or act) old enough to have teenage kids! Sigh. That must mean that I'm getting old and refusing to accept reality!
Here is a sneak peek of our fun at Belton lake!

Simply Adorable-Photos of the Heart-Baby and Child Photographer
This is such a special little girl. I've been photographing her since she was a baby and she only gets cuter with age! We had so much fun even though it was over 100 degrees out! She was the only one completely unfazed by the heat...she just kept running around as cute as you please.
Look at those big eyes! Love 'em!
Since we were welcoming her little sister into the world, I'll give you a sneak peak of her..but you will have to wait for the full scoop!

Photos of the Heart-Kid Photographer Now and Then
I've known Danielle for a while now and I've had the wonderful opportunity to take pictures of her kids several times now. Their family is moving to California, so I probably won't have another chance to photograph them, so I wanted to share a little before and after..
Here they are almost 2 years ago~
And look at them now! I am always suprised to see how much kids change. It seems like they were all so little....and then poof! They grow up.

Photos of the Heart-Wedding Photographer in Florence
I had a call for a last minute wedding...and I am SO glad that I took that call! This was the most amazing, in-love couple and I loved every minute of that afternoon! It was at a vineyard in Florence and the heat was offset by the cool breezes that flowed through the open windows in their honeymoon villa. I loved this and I know that they are going to be one fantastically happy couple!
Thanks for letting me be part of your special day!

I had posted some pictures to Clarissa's facebook page, but since there have been a few blogstalkers looking for a few sneak peaks....enjoy! It was a fun night in spite of the incredible humidity and rain. Everyone was so happy and full of joy!

Junie B Jones and a little Monkey Business
I love the theater. I'm not saying I have loved every performance that I have ever seen, but there is something about going to a live performance that is unique and fun and special. There is something about it that can't be replaced by a movie. Sure, the movie won't have tech problems or people forgetting lines, but I love being part of something special right there. I was in a community theater group as a teen, but haven't had the time since.
I have to say I love the kids, cast and crew at Viva Les Arts. They are so energetic and wonderful. They really love what they are doing and it shows! I have seen a handful of the kids in a number of performances and they never fail to do an amazing job. They really are talented!
I am a bit partial though. I have my favorites, kids who have come a long way and others that I know from other places (but I won't mention names 'cause I think they are all great kids!) I am so proud when I see kids I know trying something new and throwing off inhibitions as they act on stage.
VLA just put on Junie B Jones and a Little Monkey Business. If you haven't snagged tickets, there are still some avalible for this weekend's shows. They actually managed to have to complete casts, one elementary school kids and a group of older kids AND deal with flooding the week of the shows! They were amazing and fun...
My daughter is 4 and she was estatically clapping and cheering. She thought it was fascinating how the sets moved and the lights changed. She REALLY loved the magical pink princess number! My son had fun too. He is a bit older and still enjoyed the experience. He's not ready to dive into acting, but I can hold out hope!

The Rainy Day Family.....
I love when I have the chance to spend time with a family that is so full of love. Dad was home on leave from Iraq and his family was obviously thrilled to be able to spend time with him. There was so much love and joy in their home! It's a good thing too, with the dreary, raining morning, it could have been a miserable day....but they were so fun and happy! We even decided to ignore the weather and stomp in puddles for a fantastic shoot!
